Actually, the LA thing is kind of new. Until last May, Dibs worked in New York City, most recently as the executive editor of In Touch Weekly, which developed a robust fiction writing muscle.
She has also been an editor at CosmoGirl!, Lifetime, Parents and Ladies Home Journal magazines and has written for Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Vegas and Seventeen. Her other niche, or specialty, is profiling big stars, such as Angelina Jolie, Ke$ha, Mariah Carey, Katie Holmes, Ellen DeGeneres and Steve Carell (who would never think to mention Dibs in their bios).
Her two humor books, Blue v. Red, based on the 2004 presidential election, and OMG! How to Survive 101 of Life’s Most F’ed Situations (2010), were beloved by her mom and one reviewer on Amazon. Her next book, I Didn’t Come Here to Make Friends: Confessions of a Reality Show Villain, will be published by HarperCollins’ It Books in June 2014.
